Indicate then Brake – in that order!

It’s probably bad form to add a rant to my blog so early on but screw it, this has to be said.
The reason the highway code says ‘mirror, signal, manouvre’ is to encourage you to tell other drivers what you’re about to do before you do it. It really isn’t rocket science is it! What’s the point in telling someone what you’re going to do when you’re already half way through bloody doing it?

Now I realise that this is a totally alien concept to you Nissan Micra drivers because most of you are too old to have ever taken a driving test, but you really would make a lot fewer enemies on the road if you just popped down to the shops, bought yourself a copy of the highway code and gave it a quick skim.

Surely the government should be doing something about this rather than leaving it up to vigilante bloggers like myself.
